ADnD: Algebraic-topological Detection of neurodegenerative Diseases


Deciphering the unfathomable workings of the brain is the tremendous challenge that neuroscience has been grappling over the past few decades. Indeed, our knowledge about the nervous system has advanced at a remarkable pace. Such advances are critical for understanding the mechanisms underlying the apparently boundless range of brain functions, from breath control to forming complex conceptual architectures and thoughts. They are also crucial for uncovering the causes of the vast array of brain disorders, which impacts both individuals and the society at social and economic levels. To accelerate progress, it is vital to develop more and more powerful methods to capitalise on the amount and diversity of experimental data generated in connection with these discoveries.
