ISI Foundation joins European Symposium on Societal Challenges in Computational Social Science in Zurich

From 2nd to 4th September, Zurich is hosting the third European Symposium on Societal Challenges in Computational Social Science. Held at the ETH Zürich campus, the event concludes a series of three yearly symposia: after «Inequality and Imbalance» (London 2017) and «Bias and Discrimination» (Cologne 2018), this year the focus is on «Polarization and Radicalization».

ISI Foundation is joining the symposium with Gianmarco De Francisci Morales, Kyriaki Kalimeri and Salvatore Vilella. ISI Senior Researcher Gianmarco De Francisci Morales is among the organizers of the tutorial «Polarization on Social Media», scheduled Monday 2nd at 14. ISI Young Researcher Salvatore Vilella will take part in the Tuesday's Misinformation and Censorship session, starting at 11.15, with a talk about «Socio-Economic Factors in News Consumption Using Mobile Phone Data».

The following day, Wednesday 4th, ISI Researcher Kyriaki Kalimeri will join the poster session Political, Polarization and Populism presenting «Moral Strength: Exploiting a Moral Lexicon and Embedding Similarity for Moral Foundations Prediction» (session starts at 12.15).
